Support older Australians to live with dignity, joy and
connection

Donate Now

Since 1972, TTHA has been a trusted place of comfort and care in Bayswater, offering permanent and respite support in a warm, caring environment. With 24/7 nursing staff, dedicated dementia and palliative care, and a gentle nod to our proud German heritage, we welcome people from all cultures with kindness and respect. Our home sits at the base of the Dandenong Ranges, giving residents beautiful views, peaceful gardens, and a sense of calm that helps them feel safe, supported and truly at home.

Why your donation matters

Many older people face loneliness, declining health, or limited resources. Your donation helps us go beyond basic care and provide the little (and big) things that make life richer. Your support helps fund:

Social activities, outings and celebrations

Your donation supports social connection through group activities, on-site celebrations and organised bus outings to local cafés, restaurants, community clubs, parks and scenic spots. These experiences help reduce loneliness, encourage friendships and give older people something to look forward to each week.

Music, art and meaningful engagement programs

Your donation helps fund music, art and creative programs that encourage self-expression, stimulate memory and bring joy. These activities support emotional wellbeing, create moments of connection, and help residents stay engaged in ways that feel familiar, purposeful and uplifting.

Support for residents with limited financial means

Your donation helps ensure residents with limited financial means can still access meaningful activities, outings, comfort items and extra support. It allows us to care for everyone with dignity and fairness, so no one misses out because of cost.

The impact of your
gift

You may not see every moment your donation touches - but its impact is felt every day.

  • A shared meal that sparks conversation
  • A garden walk that brings calm and joy
  • A program that helps someone feel seen and included
  •  A sense of belonging for people who call TTHA home

This is what your kindness creates.

"I worked at TTHA for nine years, and when I needed care myself, I knew there was no better place"

Why leave a bequest?

Leaving a bequest doesn’t mean taking away from your family or friends. Many people choose to leave a small portion of their estate after caring for their loved ones.

It’s a deeply personal decision - and one that reflects your values, kindness and care for others.

A gift in your Will helps secure the future of TTHA and the people we care for. It allows us to plan ahead, grow our services, and continue providing care that goes beyond the basics.

Your bequest may help support:

  • Resident wellbeing and engagement programs

  • Facility improvements and comfort initiatives

  • Care for older people with limited financial support

  • A strong, compassionate future for aged care

Even a small percentage of your estate can make a meaningful difference.

Ways to leave a bequest?

Leaving a bequest in your Will is simpler than many people expect. There are several options to choose from, depending on your wishes and circumstances:

  • Residue – a gift from your estate after family and friends have been provided for

  • Percentage – a nominated percentage of your estate

  • Asset – a specific asset, such as property, shares or jewellery

  • Exact amount – a nominated cash amount

  • Alternative provision – instructions for your gift to pass to TTHA if another bequest cannot be carried out

  • Living bequest – a lump sum given during your lifetime, invested to generate income for TTHA, which may offer tax benefits

  • Conditional bequest – a gift that is passed on to TTHA after a loved one has been cared for during their lifetime

These options allow you to care for your loved ones first, while also leaving a lasting legacy that supports older people into the future.

Estate planning is a personal decision.

If you are considering leaving a bequest, it’s important to take the time to understand your options and ensure your wishes are clearly recorded. We encourage you to speak with your solicitor or legal advisor for guidance that’s right for you.
